What are lucky numbers in numerology?

In Indian numerology, two numbers come from your date of birth. The driver, or mulank, is the day of the month reduced to a single digit: someone born on the 29th has 2 + 9 = 11, then 1 + 1 = 2. The conductor, or bhagyank, is every digit of the full date added together and reduced.

Each number from 1 to 9 is linked with a ruling planet: 1 the Sun, 2 the Moon, 3 Jupiter, 4 Rahu, 5 Mercury, 6 Venus, 7 Ketu, 8 Saturn and 9 Mars. From that link come the friendly numbers, favourable days, colours and direction traditionally associated with your driver.

People often use these as gentle preferences, such as a colour for an important day or a date for a new beginning. They describe what is traditionally considered supportive; they are not rules you need to follow.
