Set on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, it is a dialogue between the warrior Arjuna and his charioteer Krishna — who reveals himself to be the Supreme Divine.

The Central Teaching: Nishkama Karma

At the heart of the Gita is the concept of Nishkama Karma — desireless action. Krishna urges Arjuna to perform his duty without attachment to the fruits of his actions. “You have a right to perform your prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions.” (Chapter 2, Verse 47)

Three Paths to Liberation

The Gita outlines three primary paths: Karma Yoga (the path of action), Jnana Yoga (the path of knowledge), and Bhakti Yoga (the path of devotion). Each path is suited to different temperaments, yet all lead to the same destination — moksha, or liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

The Gita relevance in our time lies in its psychological depth. It is a manual for navigating the inner battlefield of conflicting desires, duties, and fears that every human being faces.

The Bhagavad Gita’s timeless wisdom on duty, detachment, and devotion speaks as powerfully to the modern seeker as it did to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.

[5

post-8","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-philosophy
["GET
