Face Reading Basics: What the Forehead, Eyes and Jaw Are Read For

Traditional face reading, part of Samudrik Shastra, divides the face into three horizontal zones and reads each for a different stage and quality of life.

The three zones

The forehead, the upper zone, is linked to early life and intellect. The middle zone of the eyes, nose and cheeks relates to the middle years and drive, while the lower jaw and chin speak to later life and determination.

Practitioners begin with overall balance and proportion before any single feature, since harmony across the face matters more than one striking detail.
